Channels ‘Best Nigerian TV’ for the Eighth Time

channels-televisionMultiple award-winning television station noted for depth news reporting, Channels TV, has, again, won the prestigious Nigeria’s Media Merit Award in the “Best Station of The Year Award” category for 2013. The win is the eighth time for the television station in the same category.

The award was announced on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Nigeria Media Merit Award Trust held at the Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort in Ekiti State, Nigeria.

Channels TV is an independent television station in Nigeria reputed for its focus on depth reporting and professional journalism in the media industry. It won the award in 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 as well as 2008, 2010, 2012 & 2013.  Mr. John Momoh, Executive Chairman of Channels TV, said in reaction to the laurel, “We are absolutely delighted that we have won this award again. Despite having won it many times, the excitement never diminishes. We strive to provide a true, news-led independent voice in Nigeria and we are very happy that this has been recognised again. We are committed to continuing to serve Nigeria and its people with balanced news and entertainment.”
