Boko Haram Controls 23 of 27 Local Govts in Borno-Senator Zanna

sentor Senator Khalifa Ahmed Zanna, the Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial Zone, who was arrested and questioned after a high profile Boko Haram commander was arrested in his house has in an interview earlier today astonished Nigerians when he said that “23/24 local governments of the 27 in Borno state are under the effective control of Boko Haram.”Zanna also revealed more shocking revelations saying “Numerous young men all around Borno State are joining boko haram by the day.”

Senator Zanna talked about the proposed amnesty for the sect despite their recent murderous activities. He said “There must be a will by the government for the amnesty to work”. Although he also said “I have never advocated for amnesty. My own solution is too dialogue with the people and rehabilitate the Borno community.”
